IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
BirdSeed Collective Announces Departure from Globeville Recreation Center
Denver, CO – It is with deep regret that BirdSeed Collective announces that our proposal for the renewal of our contract with Denver Parks and Recreation to continue operations at the Globeville Recreation Center was not accepted. As a result, our organization will be transitioning out of the Globeville Center in the coming months.
Over the past several years, BirdSeed Collective has been deeply honored to serve the Globeville community through a wide range of programs, including our weekly Monday food bank, art and cultural initiatives, youth programming, community events, and partnerships with local organizations. Together, we have built a space of creativity, care, and connection that we will always cherish.
While this change marks the end of an important chapter, BirdSeed Collective remains fully committed to continuing our mission of serving the community through art, culture, and service. We are currently exploring new opportunities and partnerships to continue supporting the families and individuals who have been part of our Globeville family.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer, participant, donor, and community member who has supported us throughout our time at the Globeville Recreation Center. Your continued trust and participation have made our work meaningful and impactful.
Most importantly, we want to reassure our partners and the community that our work will continue.
Our weekly food program will continue without interruption, and we are actively seeking a temporary space to host distributions until we secure a new permanent home. Additionally, we will continue our other programming, maintain our grant deliverables, and remain fully engaged in community work throughout the Globeville neighborhood—regardless of no longer being housed at the Center.
We know how vital these efforts are to the families and individuals we serve, and our team is fully committed to ensuring there is no gap in access or support during this transition.
We will share updates soon regarding our future location and continued programming. In the meantime, we invite the community to stay connected through our website and social media channels for the latest news and announcements.

With gratitude,
The BirdSeed Collective Team
