Thanks so much to everyone that joined Birdseed Collective on Saturday May 9 for the GES Spring Fest at 3750 Chestnut Place. This free community celebration of art, music, and culture invited participants and community partners to share environmental justice, climate resilience resources, and community-driven solutions for the the Globeville-Elyria-Swansea neighborhoods.

Participants got to take home vegetable and herb garden planters, rain barrels and water diverters, sign up for sunshades, learn about heat exhaustion, and much more. Participants also enjoyed live musical performances, live painting, a Grupo Tlaloc Aztec dance performance, art activities, face painting, balloon art, bouncy castle and mechanical bull, free carnitas tacos and fajitas with sides, food and drink vendors, art and craft vendors, and informational tables from our community partners: Cultivando, Colorado Air Pollution Control Division, Denver Dream Center, Denver Transportation & Infrastructure, EcoMadres, Focus Points Family Resource Center, Mountain

Mamas, Physicians For Social Responsibility, Project Angel Heart, The GES Coalition, The Park People, and more.

Thanks to our amazing staff, board of directors, and volunteers for making this event a success.

Huge thanks to our sponsors for supporting this event: the Denver Office of Climate, Action, Sustainability, and Resilience; Menalto Development; and Fox Park Developers, and Meow Wolf.

Look forward to more community events from Birdseed Collective this summer!
